Free Site Evaluation (Appraisal) Tool!

Just found a site with a free Website Evaluation Tool and had to share it here. It gives you an approximate appraisal of what your site is worth. I don't think it will be taking the place of a professional appraiser, but it's a neat tool for the curious! Here's the link:  http://www.websiteoutlook.com/

Take These 3 Domain Flipping Strategies And Make More Money

Author: David Bain

Today the Internet is chock full of business opportunities and entrepreneurs who are making lots of money--some are even earning six figure incomes while not ever leaving their homes. One specific business that has turned out to be quite the money maker is "domain flipping" which is the simple art of buying domain names and then selling them for a profit. You don't need any real skills to be a good domain flipper. You just need to have the right mindset, with the right tools/methods. In this article we are going to look at a few easy and very effective methods for flipping domains that will actually give you the results you want.
1) If you are a domain flipper then you need to remain alert and a good way to track your potential domain names is to keep an eye on the latest tech news. This isn't hard to do; just find the popular and regularly updated tech blogs and subscribe to them. This is also a great way to find out about new gadgets and games and software tools, etc.

The real reason, obviously, to do this is that the tech universe turns quickly and if a specific product or service becomes really popular, people will be flooding to the search engines to find out more about it. If you can show future buyers just how popular the site is and how many searches are done for your keyword, you'll be able to demand a much higher price for it. In order to truly take advantage of the opportunities like these you need to keep your eyes open and jump on the really good domain names.

2) Domain registrars are always offering discounts and sales so stay aware of them. Obviously the real reason that you are exploring domain flipping is that it is a real and honest business so you need to focus primarily on buying names for as low a price as you can and then selling them for as high a price as you can get.

If you look around, you may be able to find discount coupons that let you buy a domain name for as low as $1! If you search online, you'll be able to find dedicated sites that are regularly updated with the discount codes for different registrars, so you can easily keep a track of them this way. You should track these deals and sales so that you can find the lowest buying prices and the highest selling prices.
3) Keep your eyes looking for new domain name extensions; new ones are released all the time. It's a good idea to grab a popular generic domain name and register it with one of the new domain extensions, because if you don't, someone else will. The goal here is to get the best domain names on the market, no matter what their extensions may be because all domain names have value and, as a domain flipper, you should be able to see that.In conclusion, from the above article we come to understand how simple things can influence your domain flipping business and actually help you uncover domains that are profitable. It you are a new domain flipper it might take some time before you really start making money. The key to real success is to take regular action and be patient. Every person that's into the domain flipping business knows for a fact that ever domain they buy won't prove to be a jackpot, so make sure you develop a good risk taking ability.

3 Ways to Create a Community on Your Blog

Author: TJ Philpott

Any blogger knows they need to create a community atmosphere or else visitors will not be compelled to return! The fact of the matter is that most popular blogs have built their platforms off this sense of community and without it their blog success would not even exist. It is important to realize that the best blogging sites gain their traffic and popularity by creating an environment that is pleasing, stimulating and consistent! Are you up to the task because it is really not difficult.

Here are 3 ways in which you can create an atmosphere on your platform that will help give it the distinction of being one of the best blogging sites in your niche!

Clearly Establish Your Theme

This is the rallying point around which people will either be attracted to your subject or not. Initially people will determine whether they have an interest in your selection of the subject matter you will be blogging about. Some will decide to 'move on' while others will be inclined to return to view more of what you post. From this point forward your blog success will depend upon supplying these readers content worthy of their time to read!

Remember that the more these people return the more incline they are to interact and this is what leads to a greater sense of community!

Establish Your Tone

The voice and style in which you deliver your message will be very influential in as to whether visitors will maintain their interest or not. Your delivery style should be something you are comfortable with and proficient at since you can expect to be doing it for quick some time! Most popular blogs normally have a particular style or delivery that tends to be more suitable to the individual bloggers skill sets and/or personality.

Maintain Consistency

By consistency here I mean the quality of the material you update your platform with and your focus on the subject matter or selected theme. It is important here to keep your focus on the subject that initially attracted your readers or people might lose interest and drift away. Normally the best blogging sites do well by mixing their content in such a way as to offer some variety while still keeping it relevant to the theme!

Your consistency will help develop reader loyalty which in turn will lead to a stronger bond amongst visitors as they become more familiar and comfortable with each other!

It is important to create a community like atmosphere as a blogger being these platforms thrive off of reader loyalty and interaction. Without such an environment, your blog success will be very difficult to achieve. The key is to focus on delivering useful content, targeting a particular niche, in a consistent and interesting manner. By doing so reader loyalty will develop over time as will your distinction of having one of the best blogging sites in the niche. The 3 strategies suggested above serve to help you create the pleasing and stimulating atmosphere readers enjoy. These strategies are simple, time tested and in evidence at any of the most popular blogs you may visit online. By duplicating what appears to work within most blogging communities there is no reason their success can not be yours as well!

Another Benefit Of Buying Blogs

When you have something to say, putting it in a blog is a great way to say it. You might think what you have on your mind wouldn't be of interest to anyone. But finding people who can identify with you may be easier than you think.

People everywhere have something to share, whether its their daily experience, their point of view, a new idea or 101 things to know about a product they have for sale. In the past, you'd have to make a speech on tv or post an article in a newspaper to reach the multitudes. But now there are blogs. And there are lots and lots of people who want to read them.

If you don't know quite where to begin to create a blog, there's another way to jump on this train. Shane Richmond, Head of Technology (Editorial) for Telegraph Media Group stated it pretty clearly in the title of his media and technology article - "Suddenly Everybody's Buying Blogs". Just as people buy established websites or domain names, people are buying blogs. Some people buy them to have a form of expression. Then there are others who are intrigued by the income potential they hold.

Can you profit from a blog?...You bet! Internet advertising is big. And what better way for a company to promote a product than placing an ad where people are (virtually) gathered together discussing topics relevant to what that company has to offer?  Once you've monetized your blog by placing ads on it, you can profit again by  selling it - usually for a considerable amount more than you paid for it in the beginning.

Buy now I imagine the wheels in your mind are starting to turn. You may have a rant, or a rave that would generate some interest.  It may be as easy as starting a conversation in a coffee shop. Oh, and there's another reason why people are busy writing and buying blogs...it's downright fun!
